ABSW is Hiring an Executive Director!

As ABSW enters an exciting period of continued growth and organizational development, we are looking for a strong, experienced leader to help guide ABSW into its next chapter.

We are seeking an action-oriented, self-directed, and solutions-focused Executive Director who can balance strategic leadership with the hands-on realities of leading a growing nonprofit organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong people and operational leadership, financial and funding oversight, sound judgment, initiative, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while building effective systems and ensuring strong follow-through.

This is an opportunity for someone who is passionate about strengthening Black-led organizations and who brings a deep understanding of, connection to, and commitment to African Nova Scotian and Black communities.

This is a designated position for a person of African ancestry.

LOCATION- Dartmouth, Nova Scotia

SALARY - $92,000-$100,000 annually

STATUS - Permanent, full-time | 37.5 hours/week

SCHEDULE - Flexible; occasional evenings/weekends
